Project Overview

The Samarthanam Trust Collaboration is a significant initiative by the Redseer Foundation dedicated to empowering 175 blind girl students over a three-year period. Partnering with Samarthanam Trust for The Disabled, a Bangalore-based non-profit organization, this project focuses on providing comprehensive support, including funding for education and tutoring, as well as equipping students with advanced technology to enhance their learning experience.

The project tackles the “Book Famine” by producing and distributing audio books while also supporting the students’ educational needs.

Impact

  • Enabled approximately 673 active users in Bangalore to access a broad library of audiobooks via the Sugamya Pustakalya portal
  • Significantly improved educational opportunities for blind girls
